How to Exercise to Get Rid of Love Handles

1. Squeeze, hard! Your "gluteus maximus" - that is your butt - is one of the three biggest muscles in your body. Your body is built for exercise and you'll not only improve your metabolism - and making it possible to get rid of love handles fat and weight - but you'll get a more sexy bum! You will notice that you'll also tense your stomach and waist - an added benefit to lose love handles! Standing or sitting, it's easy to do the following:

Squeeze hard for 3-4 seconds, relax, repeat 10-15 times. You can do this without anyone noticing, several times a day.

2. Stand tall. Jus t by thinking about your posture your muscles have to work to keep you straight and not slumped.This burns calories and builds muscle. Think about this when you're standing ironing, for example, and especially when you are sitting down, as in front of the computer. And actually, notice that when you straighten up your stomach and back muscles tense up? Well, to get rid of love handles these muscles need to get stronger, since muscle tissue burns more calories.

3. Play with your children. Notice how kids always enjoy fooling around, especially when they are young? Join in! Run around, kick a ball, race them, just play around, and if you have a dog you know it'll love having sticks thrown at it. Your kids will love it and so will you. 4. Isometrics - the hidden powerful secret. An isometric exercise is one where your muscles are tensed but nothing moves. Push as hard as you can against the wall. You don't move, the wall doesn't move. That's an isometric exercise. Try to do these small, almost invisible exercises several times during the day. Here are some examples:

* Imagine you have a hard cheese between your hands and press so hard it starts to drip.

When you go through a doorway you can pretend you are about to lift the whole building up by pressing against the frame above your head.

* Still in the doorway - put your hands to the side and try to widen the doorway. Press really hard for a few seconds, relax a few seconds and do it again .

* Spend time outdoors. Notice how much of the equipment at the gym merely duplicates what you would be doing if you were outside? So, why not go running, rowing or cycling in the fresh air outside instead! You'll enjoy being outside instead of in a closed room with someone elses music playing ...music that you haven't had a say about at all ...

* Become a high energ y walker. Think about your walking style. Lengthen your stride, make sure you're not tripping along. A little quicker and longer strides will give you confidence, good posture and a sexier, shapelier behind!
