Advice If You Found Out Your Husband Was Having an Affair Or Was Cheating On You

Even though it was years ago, I still very vividly remember when I found out about my husband's affair. Saying I was devastated is not a strong enough description. I was completely floored, horribly betrayed, and I felt so lost. I could not fathom that I would ever feel any better, or that things could improve. Worse, I really had no one to talk to. When I did reach out to others, I received conflicting advice from those who had never been there. Some told me to forgive my husband's affair is just "typical male behavior," while some demanded that I get my children and walk out the door even though my husband was doing everything in his power to save our marriage in the aftermath.

In truth, none of these discussions made me feel any better. They just made me feel conflicted. I felt like a spineless pushover when I was around the friends who told me to dump him. And, I felt like an unforgiving fraud around those who told me to forgive him. So, in this article, I will offer you advice from someone who has been exactly where you are. I hope to offer the advice I wish I had gotten.

Do Not Carry The Burden Of The Affair. The Cheating Is Not Your Fault: I can not begin to tell you how many women contact me even when they have just found out about the affair and when things are still very raw, who are completely willing to shoulder some of the blame for the affair. They will say things like "I should have given him more attention," or "I didn't make enough time for him," or "I shouldn't have ignored the signs." All of these things may well be true, at least a little. But, you were not the one who made the decision to cheat. He was. I am sure there were times when you too felt neglected or restless, but you likely handled it in another way rather than cheating.

I don't say these things to paint your husband as evil. Men very often don't see an affair as the same way that women do. They can separate the love for their wives and cheating, believe it or not. They often don't stop to think about the consequences of their actions and often they think you will never find out . They often justify what they are doing by telling themselves that they are taking care of whatever is going on themselves without having to burden you with it. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I can tell you from the men who contact me for help in saving their marriages that this is their thought process, as completely flawed as it is.

And, very often, men cheat because of how they feel about themselves, not because of how they feel about you. They are trying to recapture feelings of being attractive, powerful, successful, and competent. In short, they are trying to rescue their own self esteem. Understand this for what it is their flaw, not yours.

Why do men cheat on beautiful women like Jennifer Aniston or Princess Diana? Because they are lacking within themselves.

Be Kind To Yourself And Open To The Idea That Eventually Something Positive Can Emerge From All Of This: It may not feel like it right now. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that it doesn't, but please believe me when I say that in time, the choking feeling that plagues you right now will eventually lessen and loosen it's grip. It won't happen over night. There may well be many difficult days ahead, but very often affairs actually improve marriages if you handle the aftermath correctly. What happens is that both spouses learn that they can't take one another for granted and that neglect can leave a marriage vulnerable. In short, they "wake up" and change the way they communicate and interact.

There are some common pitfalls that you can avoid to expedite your healing. First, please trust me when I say that you need to tell your husband exactly how you feel and exactly what you need if you ultimately decide to save your marriage. Many women are afraid to expose their husband's to extent of how they really feel, for fear that this will only make them appear more unattractive or damaged.

The problem with this, though, is that if you keep stuffing your feelings down, eventually they are going to come out in very negative ways. You'll find yourself making sarcastic or hurtful comments. You'll pull yourself back from trusting again. You build a huge wall around yourself that ensures you'll have trouble restoring intimacy and closeness, even if this is what you really want deep down.

Probably one of the most common misunderstandings that I see is that the wife needs reassurance and accountability but doesn't say a word about this. So, when the husband isn't forthcoming with affection or the email passwords, the wife reads this as "see, I knew that he no longer wants me or no longer finds me attractive," while the husband is thinking "man, I'd really like to take her in my arms, say I'm so desperately sorry, and hold her, but the second I do, she's going to become angry or reject me." So, no one is saying anything and both people are disappointed, although they both want the same things.

Finally, you probably will need to work on restoring your self esteem. You should not deny this or feel guilty about it. It is completely normal and you may have to separate yourself from your marriage to do it. What I mean by this is that while you are working on your marriage, you will also need to work on yourself simultaneously. But, this really can be a positive experience. Give yourself permission to address the things about yourself that have always bothered you, but you put on the back burner. Focus on taking care of yourself as much as you care for others. It may feel selfish, but keep right on doing it. Because the truth is, you will need a healthy dose of self worth to really get over this. And, you need to see yourself as the beautiful and desirable woman you are to believe that your husband really feels this way about you as well.

Why Married Men Cheat - Eight Reasons Men Tend to Step Out of Their Relationship

After all, they are married so they shouldn't be wandering away from their wife and responsibilities. However, they do wander away from the relationship and they do cheat. Yet, why do married men cheat on their spouses? What are the reasons that make them decide the relationship they are in is not worth staying faithful to? There are actually several reasons men tend to wander out of their relationships in search of the "next best thing".

Eight Reasons Why Married Men Cheat On Their Wives

Reason 1 - Lack Of Love In Marriage

A big reason married men step out of their relationship is the lack of love they feel from it. If a woman rather spend her time with her friends or alone, then she isn't giving her husband the attention and love he needs to stay faithful to her. Many women, even if they still love their husbands, take them for granted that they will always be there. If you find your marriage in this kind of situation and you really do love your husband, you need to spend more quality time with him to show him.

Reason 2 - Lack Of Sex

Another reason why married men cheat is the fact that they aren't getting any sex from their wife, regardless of the reason. Men have sexual desires that need to be filled and if their wives are not giving it, they will look elsewhere to have it filled. This may seem cruel but it's just a fact of life.

Reason 3 - Wife Cheated First

A third reason why married men cheat on their wives is because their wives cheated first, as if this is a justification for their actions. Yet, it doesn't matter if a man's wife cheated first, he doesn't have to cheat himself to get back at her. This should never be an excuse but it is a major reason given as to why married men cheat.

Reason 4 - Relationship Has Gotten Stale

When a couple has been married for some time, the relationship can become old and stale. Men, whose wives never want to join them in the things they do for fun, may step out to find someone who will do those things with them. Everyone wants someone they can have fun with before marriage and after it as well. If you want to save your marriage, don't let that fun fire fizzle out.

Reason 5 - Lack Of Trying New Sexual Things

Couples who have been together for some time can find things going stale in the bedroom. If a husband finds there's no willingness to try new things from his wife, he may decide that he wants to try these new things with another woman. It's the desire to have a fresh sex life that causes some married men to cheat on their wives.

Reason 6 - Constant Nagging

Another reason why married men cheat on their wives is the constant nagging they give their husbands. Nagging, no matter what the reason, is very annoying and men will often find a woman who won't nag them about minute details.

Reason 7 - Lack Of Communication

Married men who find they are having a hard time communicating with their spouse will often look to other women to fill this void. It's another big reason why married men cheat on their wives. If you find that your relationship lacks communication, you need to open those lines up again, if you desire to save your marriage.

Reason 8 - Unable To Stop Cheating

Some married men cheat just to cheat. They may have the inability to stop stepping out of their relationships and cheat whenever the mood strikes them. They may like the idea of being married but once the "newness" of it has worn off, he is back to his old cheating ways. This boils down to having the lack of self-control to stop themselves.

These are the eight reasons why married men cheat. If you're a married woman who worries about her husband cheating on her, then remember to keep the lines of communication open, listen to his ideas of trying new things, stay involved with the fun things in his life and don't cheat on him.

when working from home

A home-based business has a lot of advantages over the traditional 9-5 office system, and most web hosting businesses seem to be run out of an home office. However, working from home could mean that you might lose the structure and schedule of a normal office environment. We collected a few tips and tricks to keep you on track.

Kick Start Your Day

How you start off will determine how you end up! Begin your day with some positive thinking, do some workout (running, ride your bike) to get your head cleared out, have a healthy breakfast of reasonable size (too much food makes you tired again), take a shower, and then get started on your work day.

Develop A Work Schedule

Working at home will come with it a lot of flexibility and freedom. However, you need to be careful that you don't misuse it. You are now your own boss, so act as if you ARE the boss! Work out strict time schedules -and stick to it. Plan out all the all the tasks you would like to get accomplished in your day, and make sure that you achieve your target. If you are not disciplined enough it will come back and haunt you.

Love Your Work

Make sure that the work you do is something you really enjoy doing. To be successful in this business, you need to be really passionate about your work. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that because you have a background in web hosting and the experience in this field, that this will be a breeze. Learn to recognize what will motivate you, what will excite you - and build your business based on that spirit. If you are afraid to check the status of your servers and email every morning and it is giving you a weird feeling in your stomach you should eventually consider a different career. One sure sign of knowing that you really love your work is to get that motivating and relaxed feeling when you wake up every morning. Of course, you're going to have your good days and your bad days at the office - but a strong enthusiasm for your work ensures that you'll end up having more good days than bad days at the office.

Have a Real Home Office

Running your business from your bedroom is really not the best idea. You should have a separate area to work from. This could be a second bedroom in your apartment or a finished basement in your house. If that is not possible (e.g. you live in a one-bedroom apartment, you will have to work around it - especially if you do not live alone. A Spanish wall and a real desk will eventually give you a little 'room'. Make sure you keep an office a priority when moving one day. If you already have enough space and a separate office, furnish it accordingly. I personally use a kitchen countertop board as my desk. It goes from wall to wall across the room. It is deeper than a regular desk and I have plenty of space for everything. Having space can be a key. It is easier to find tools, manuals, or documentation. I can reach the printer and the cable router easily and the fax is also just 'around the corner'.

Establish that "you are at work"

Imagine you are at work in your home office and your wife or kids come into the room every 5 minutes. As nice as it is to have them around - often you need to make sure that they understand that you are working. You cannot just run down to the grocery store to buy diapers or milk real quick. You are at work. Or did your boss at your old place of employment did let you go to the grocery store 'real quick'? Probably not.

Snacks

You might feel like munching while you work, and that's one of the benefits of not working in a conservative corporate environment, right? However, be sure that you do not have to leave your office for everything. A journey through the house in search of food might lead to a detour or two to check up on what the kids are doing. 5 minutes here and there can add up really fast. Remember - you want to be productive.

Family Time Out

This one might seem a very difficult initially - but keep your work time separate from your family time. Of course, one of the prime reasons of you opening your home-based business was probably to spend time with family. However, your business is serious business, and needs some serious time too! The great thing is - you can often work around family things. Seeing your son playing soccer in the afternoon can be rewarding and it makes the work at night easier to handle. Most parents will miss a lot of their kids activities because they have to work in an office downtown.

Do you want to learn how to catch my husband cheating using Mobilespy? Do you think that your husband is cheating on you and is using his cell phone to condone his cheating? Is your husband's cell phone is form of communication to his mysterious mistress? Is he constantly on his cell phone talking to someone that he will never tell you who? When he gets a certain phone call or text message does your husband leave the room or move away from you in an effort to not allow you to hear his conversation?

Do you wake up in the middle of the night only to find your husband not lying in bed next to you? When you go to look for your husband do you find him on his cell phone obviously talking to someone? If you ask your husband who he is talking to does he make up something that you know isn't the truth? Does he tell you that he is talking to a friend or business partner? Would you like to know how to catch my husband cheating using Mobilespy?

Attempting to catch a cheating spouse has been a problem in many couples. Both men and women endlessly search for methods and ways to monitor their significant other's activities to see if they are cheating or not. Most of the time they come up with methods that don't work or only find information that leaves them wondering with no solid evidence. When trying to catch your husband cheating you need to find a method that will provide you with concrete evidence so that you aren't caught making false accusations.

One of the most popular and effective ways to find evidence is through your husband's cell phone. He has to communicate with the person he is cheating on you with in some way and it is most likely his cell phone. Because so many women are anxious to find out if their husband is cheating or not they don't find the proper tools to use. Many women will try and take their husband's phone and look through it to find evidence. However this won't give you the information you are looking for because your husband probably deletes all of the evidence on his cell phone that shows him cheating on you. If there are mysterious numbers in his call history then he probably erases these numbers so that you can't find them. If there are intimate text messages on his cell phone then he probably erases these as well.

If you want to see the information on your husband's phone without having to worry about it getting erased then you will need to use Mobilespy. Mobilespy is cell phone spying software. It records all of the data on your husband's cell phone for you to view. His text messages and phone calls will be recorded and uploaded to your personal online account. Even if your husband erases all of the data on his phone it will still be recorded by Mobilespy.

Catch a Man Cheating - What Do Wedded Men Feel Like After Cheating?

Crushing man pride

Brit Ekland one time stated that she had never slept with married men, but in the sense that she never did it never with happily married men.

At first glance, it is compliant that men feel quite good after cheating.

In time, on account of marriage compliance and monotony, it has been shown that men feel trapped, consider that their wives can't understand them, and therefore suffer from this situation. After cheating, men have a strange sense of relief combined with welfare, and its essence cannot be denied.

Furthermore, men are drawn by passion and after wedded men have taken a false step, it's interesting that although many admit that infidelity is bad, many of them still practice it. They apologies a lot, but sustain that they can hardly master the psychological hunger for sex and among those who do it again it is a way to maintain their ego.

Men feel strong and their masculinity becomes visible when they are near a women and have the chance to take care of such sensitive, tender and obedient persons as them. When cheating, men often feel neglected and are misled by the delusion that their wives do not fully comprehend them and do not offer the respect they need.

Unhappily, after cheating, the husband finds himself without any drop of respect or dignity and moreover, he realizes that the respect he had was bounded to his wife, not to a secret woman with no sense of commitment. It is important to keep in mind that when we assume responsibility, we have to be careful because our freedom is in stake.

Remorse feelings

An important aspect is that after marriage, men become much more accustomed with women around them, and represent an attraction towards the opposite sex. In these circumstances, the unfaithful husband holds that he never intended to leave his wife, but wanted to get involved in an handy affair to satisfy his needs. Most women dealing with married men relationships disclosed the main reason for which they ended it was their marriage; it reminded men about their mistakes and because they were not willing to leave their wives, the relationships had no future.

Of course, there are men who strongly believe that they can offer unconditionally love to their wives and still have sex with other women, without no hard feelings; in their opinion the relationship is just a physical one, without any emotional behavior being involved . On account of men powerlessness to offer integrity, married man who cheat feel that they never abandoned their loved ones, just involved in an unimportant physical affair.

Finally, remorse feelings prove married men that the balance they are looking for lies in their marriage, and this belief is the one requires on order to avoid future mistakes. The unfaithful husband knows that his deed will shade their marriage, always reminding them about his infidelity. And this situation may be improved but it needs a lot of love, commitment and most importantly, trust and fidelity. Obviously, this is a clear proof of the price paid when committing this kind of nonsense. Therefore, it is better to think twice before cheating, and in a marriage it's crucial the existence of agreement and communication between partners.

Ways of Catching a Cheating Wife

In some relationships and marriages, one of the partners may stray from the relationship and may cheat on the other person. Research shows that men are more likely to cheat than women but there has been an increase in the number of women who cheat on their partners. It is sometimes hard to tell if your wife is seeing someone else and sometimes people mistakenly accuse their spouse of cheating. There are ways, however, that if you suspect that you have a cheating wife that you can catch her.

The signs of infidelity differ from situation to situation but in most cases there are some common traits across the board. The biggest sign of infidelity is a sudden change in behaviour and by this we mean a drastic change. For example, does your wife hate night clubs and then suddenly she begins going out to clubs with her friends on a regular basis and always finds excuses to go out to the same place? This is a sign that something may be going on. However, this is not a definite indication that your wife is cheating, but it may make you question her.

If you do suspect that you wife is cheating then you might want to start monitoring her behaviour and where she goes. You can do this yourself or you may hire someone else to do it. This may seem like something you see in the movies but there are people out there who are qualified and who have the resources to follow your wife and report back to you on where she has been and what she has been doing. However, if your wife is not cheating and she finds out that you have had her followed then you might be risking ruining your relationship. It might be hard to explain to your wife that you suspect her of cheating and therefore had her followed.

You can also start making notes of changes in your wife behaviour. Keep a journal of her reported activities. This is a great way to notice anything that might seem off or something that might stand out. You can also monitoring incoming and outgoing calls. Is your wife receiving or making calls late at night and trying to hide it from you? If you suspect that you wife is cheating in your own home then you can plan unexpected visits during the date, for example you can start coming home for lunch without notifying her in advance. You may also want to start ending your work day early and coming home early. If you suspect that your wife is cheating with someone from the work place then you can make unexpected visits to work as well. However if you do this then you must have an excuse or reason to be there if this is something that you have never done before.

Monitoring your wife spending habits is another good way to find out if she is cheating. For example, if your wife starts shopping or eating in unusual places on a regular basis then you might want to question what is going on. It is important that you do so in a non-accusing way as there may be a chance that you are wrong and wrongfully accusing your wife of cheating is not going to strengthen your relationship.

Should I Give My Cheating Husband A Second Chance? If So, How?

I'm often contacted by women who are torn as to whether to give their husband's who have cheateda second chance in the marriage. Often, the wives don't want to break up their families or give up years of commitment and love over just one poor decision, but there is often more to the story than this. Many times, they are scared that they will open their hearts and be vulnerable again only to laterfind that their husband has cheated again. Or, they are afraid that ultimately, there is too much pain, betrayal, and awkwardness now under the bridge for the marriage to really survive. And finally, many women worry that if they try to save the marriage, people will think that they are naive, spineless, or have no self respect.

I'll address all of these things in this article as well as some questions and considerations I believe you need to honestly answer to help you uncover if giving your husband another chance would be the best choice for you. (Note that sometimes your husband may not be giving you what you need because he can't read your mind. So, if your husband isn't fulfilling all of the suggestions I list, don't hesitate to ask him to do so.)

Is The Cheating An Isolated Incident?: First, it's important to take a look at the circumstances around the cheating or the affair. Admittedly, all infidelity can be a marital deal breaker, but a husband who has cheated multiple times will be harder to rehabilitate than a husband who had one regrettable one night stand. And, a husband who had a briefemotional affair is easier to rehabilitate than the husband who had a long term, intense affair that he's having a problem giving up.

Any of these situations can be overcome with intense work and commitment. Both parties need to understand why the cheating happened and fix the issues.Obviously though, the best case scenario is that the husband has completely closed off contact with the other person and is fully committed to saving the marriage and remaining faithful to his wife.

Is Your Husband Being Accountable And Forthcoming?: Many husbands want to get past the affair as quickly as possible because they think the longer they talk about or dwell on it, the more pain that it brings up. But often, a wife will need more than this. Wives want to understand why the affair happened and they need the reassurance and accountability that it is not going to happen again.

I always tell husbands to hand over their cell phone records and their email password without being asked. I also tell them to call often to check in with their wives. Because although they sometimes feel guilty about it, for quite some time after an affair, a wife wants to know where her husband is (and with who). A husband who understands this and makes himselfavailable is helping his wife heal.

Are You Both Committed To Doing To Work Necessary To Get Past The Affair?: I used to never believe people who said that marriages can improve and become stronger after an affair. From personal experience though, I know now thatthis is true. The work following an affair can be difficult and even painful sometimes. But, it is so worth it because both parties learn to improve their communication and intimacy, and to not take one another for granted. Often, an affair will shine a light on your marriage's vulnerabilities. Once, you address these and work through them, you're often left with a marriage that is actually stronger and more fulfilling. For this to happen though, both parties need to be on board and willing to speak up, define what they need, and to not be shy about asking for it.

Is Your Husband Generous With Reassurance And Support?: Over and over, I see women who want to save their marriages following an affair, but who are stuck. With a little digging, I typically find that there is a self esteem issue brought on by the affair. What happens is that the wife doesn't feel loved and desired by her husband. She wants and needs his reassurance but feels too needy or high maintenance to ask for it. So,she sitssilent and doubtful. Meanwhile, the husband wants to initiate intimacy and closeness, but he isafraid his wife will think he's a pig who "only thinks about one thing" when he does.

So often, wives can't believe their husbands still want them because they don't see themselves as desirable and unfortunately, this has nothing to do with their husbands. It's extremely important that you be selfish here and focus on your own self care. Address any issues that make you doubt yourself. I went back to school and dropped some weight, but this may be different for you. It's very important that you don't walk around like a victim that has lost all of her power. Understand that you are every bit the beautiful exciting women you were before any of this business happened. One act can not change that.

Whether to give your unfaithful husband another chance is a personal decision, but I often find that this decision often depends on the marriage before the affair. If you were happy, fulfilled, and loved your family life, it's hard to give all of that up because of one event. But, if your marriage was not a good one before the affair, you'll need to work harder to achieve a complete overhaul that makes a second chance a sound choice.

Although I never would've believed this two years ago, my marriage is stronger than ever after my husband's affair. It took a lot of work, and I had to play the game to win, but it was worth it. Because of all the work I did on myself, my self esteem is at an all time high. I know longer worry my husband will cheat again. You can reada very personal story on my blog at http://surviving-the-affair.com/
